Bruno Neri graduated with honors in Electronic Engineering from the University of Pisa in 1980, in 1983 he joined the Department of Information Engineering of which he was Director from 2002 to 2010. He has been Full Professor of Electronics since 2000 and, from 2010 to 2017 he was President of the Bachelor and Master degree programs in Electronic Engineering. He is currently responsible for the Telecommunications Electronics and Wireless Integrated Circuits courses; he has carried out his research activity in this field. As part of an agreement with the Lama Tsongkhapa Institute, he has engaged in some training activities outside the electronics sector. Since 2016 he has held a module of lessons in the Master in "Neuroscience, Mindfulness and Contemplative Practices", since 2020 he has been Director of the Summer School "Conscience and Cognition", since 2023 he has collaborated on the University Specialization Course "End of life: states of consciousness, ancient traditions and new therapies". In 2018 he began working on the effects of meditation on the brain activity of monks hosted in the retreat area of the Sera Jey Tibetan Monastery in India.
